Asst. Dean, Director of MBA Admissions and Financial Aid at UCLA Anderson School of Management

Alex joined UCLA Anderson in 2004 and has served as Asst. Dean, Director of MBA Admissions and Financial Aid since August 2012. He is responsible for sourcing, attracting, recruiting and enrolling qualified candidates to the Full-Time MBA program. Previously, Alex worked at Cap Gemini and 3m on a variety of client engagements in the automotive, medical, and insurance industries. Alex earned an MBA degree from UCLA Anderson, a MS and BS degree in electrical engineering from Georgia Tech and Drexel University. In 2014, he was appointed by the governor of California to serve on the State Bar of California Committee of Bar Examiners and is currently the Chair of Education Standards. He sits on the Board of Trustees for the Consortium for Graduate Study in Management, serving as the Co-Chair of the Fund Development Committee. Also, Alex serves on the Board of Directors for the QueensCare Health Centers and The Riordan Programs Advisory Board. In his spare time, Alex enjoys running, basketball, chess, coding, and coaching soccer.

The Consortium, Director of Recruiting

Danni Young has worked in higher education for 14 years. Currently, Danni serves as The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management’s Director of Recruiting, and is tasked with leading the recruitment efforts to identify prospective MBAs who embody The Consortium’s mission. During Danni’s tenure, The Consortium has seen the highest attendance numbers at recruitment events and the largest enrolled class in its 54 year history.

Prior to her nonprofit experience with The Consortium, Danni has worked in recruitment, admissions and student affairs for a private university, a for-profit institution and at the community college level. Danni has extensive experience working with underrepresented minorities and international students.

In her previous role at Washington University in St. Louis, Danni served as an MS/Finance academic advisor and recruiter for the Olin Business School. Danni also holds an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis. Additionally, she is a proud HBCU graduate earning her bachelor’s degree from Lincoln University in Missouri.

When not traveling, Danni enjoys tutoring high school students preparing to take the ACT/SAT, spending time with her family and playing poker.
